Dear Santa...

Dear Santa,

This year I've been busy!

In June I didn't flush (-1 points). Last Sunday I ate my brussel sprouts (1 points). In September I turned [livejournal.com profile] enigmassweet in for eating carbs (3 points). In January I caught a purse-snatcher who stole [livejournal.com profile] geno0823's purse (30 points). Last Monday I bought porn for [livejournal.com profile] curtainfalling (-10 points).

Overall, I've been nice (23 points). For Christmas I deserve a pony!

Sincerely,
clockwork_doc

You Have a Brilliant First Name

You are a total brainiac who's very curious about the world. You are very interested in how things work.

You are a bit of a mad scientist and even maybe an inventor. You're always coming up with something new and interesting.

And while you have a lot of mental strengths, you're also quite physical. You like to get out there and see the world.

You love to travel, and you think that change can be very exciting. As long as you have the freedom to do what you want, you fit in anywhere.

Great Scott, I do believe they've NAILED it.

I've given my characters a healthy dose of Veritaserum and now they have to tell the truth. What does this mean for you? Ask my characters questions about anything and everything and they will truthfully answer it.

My list is as follows (sorted by main games):

Originally done over at [livejournal.com profile] docsgirl (well, one of them was), I'm reposting them here for completeness's sake. Yes, even after I did a 100-question meme earlier. There's a little new information, damn it!

First, Doc answers 14 questions in-character:
Talking About My Life )

And second, 20 questions that seem to have a bent for sex, which means some embarrassment for poor Doc.
Though The Angst Is Strong Too )

I got this off [livejournal.com profile] kineticmachine and [livejournal.com profile] sarkraticmethod a while ago. I got stuck on question 90 for a good long while, so that's why this is only going up now. Hope you enjoy anyway!
100 Questions )

Since we're revising them now. . .

“Roads? Where we’re going, we don’t need – roads.”: Doc’s recently discovered something very interesting about his weather powers – namely, that his wind control allows him to fly. He’s come up with a homemade glider design, gotten it built (with a little help from E Mode), and now he’s ready to test it. He doesn’t know it’ll be in a very dramatic way. . . . ([livejournal.com profile] curtainfalling, Revan Onasi)

“Dr. E. Brown Enterprises – 24 Hour Scientific Services”: Doc’s an inventor at heart – he adores building things to make the world better. And although his main love is his always-ongoing time machine project, he’s certainly not adverse to taking on new ones. If somebody needs something fixed, Doc would be happy to lend a hand. The Rift did leave him with a few of his old powers for manipulating machines, after all. (Openings for anyone who has a device they think Doc could fix, permanently open)

“The other great mystery of the universe – women.”: Doc’s never been good with women and relationships. He’s only had two girlfriends in his life, and both were in the relationship for reasons other than love. He’s pretty much dedicated his life to the pursuit of science and invention with little time for romance. But if the right girl came along, one who loved Jules Verne and science as much as him. . . . (Open to one female)
Subplot: Not only has Doc never had a successful relationship, he’s missed out on another rite of passage. Yes, poor Doc is a 66-year-old virgin. Although he doesn’t think about it often, he would like to change that at some point. (Open to one female, does not have to be the same as above – threading out sex not necessary)

Yes, Doc here has a Twitter. Although his has been running for a while now. Definitely not game canon.
clockwork_doc: (building things)
I've been meaning to write these up for a while now, and I finally got around to it today. Enjoy!

Bit late to invite you all over, but I wanted to at least share my costume with you:
Halloween Message )

I hope you all had a safe, wonderful Halloween.

When he's not roleplaying in the Rift or the Nexus, the Doc Brown known as "Clockwork" lives in the Inkwell Bar and Grill, the local restaurant and hangout for his mun Victoria's muses. Clockwork also happens to own the place, so it's very easy for him to conscript it for his birthday. Anyone entering today will find that the bar has a wide selection of various cakes on it for people to sample, along with freezers full of ice cream. Clockwork himself is seated at the bar with a slice of chocolate cake, smiling at anyone who comes in.

Anybody's welcome to drop by, either just to say "hi" or to grab some cake. (One warning -- you might want to avoid the cake on the far left of the bar. Mrs. Plum made that one, and being a dead cook from "Corpse Bride" prone to putting body parts in her meals. . . .)

Okay. Seems the time we've settled on is Saturday, the 5:15 P.M. showing of Journey to the Center of the Earth. Last chance to bring up objections. I think we should all meet in front of the theater at around 4:30 or so, so we'll have time to purchase refreshments and the like. The theater is the AMC River East, located at 322 East Illnois Street.

Looking forward to seeing all of you!

(OOC: Of course, Revan's out, since Kat's going to get hit with a hurricane soon. :( Stay safe, Kat! Anybody else got any problems that would prevent you from participating in this threadwise in the near future? Handwaving and/or schedule adjustment is possible, since I honestly don't have much of a life. ^^;)
clockwork_doc: (explaining things)
Just letting you all know that Doc's going to be doing gigs in [livejournal.com profile] dear_multiverse as well as the Rift. There shouldn't be any mention of Nexus in the Rift (besides Doc possibly getting a shiny new wristwatch), but if anything bleeds over into his journal, it'll be tagged "Nexus" quite clearly in the Subject Header.

Okay, back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Well, [livejournal.com profile] clanoftheswords did it, so I figure I might as well too. I'd really like a Marty to go with my Doc, so here's the application I submitted before if anyone wants to take a look or tweak it:
Matching Set )

Some notes on Doc's current social circle:
Making Friends and Aquaintances )
People I'd Like Doc to Meet
Dmitri Lang -- I think they'd clash interestingly.
Suzie Costello -- Oh, definitely. I imagine great Doc-breakage if she sees his Keeper-shaped shadow.
Zel -- technically already met, but when you come back from hiatus, Kat, I wouldn't mind them saying hi again.
JD -- again, technically already met, but I'm just curious on how the whole "watching the movies" thing will be handled. Threading, or are you too busy and we should handwave? Just got journal entries piling up in my head. Taken care of through handwaving -- JD's now a Fanclub member.

Stole this from [livejournal.com profile] brandedfirst. Yes, I'm taking memes from dead characters. (I've been searching profiles for interesting layouts, and I got curious about the actual journal.) It's pretty interesting, and very close to Doc, both this one and canon. Try it yourself here.
What Your Name Means )

There's also a birthday thing on the same site. It's got five million tons of trivia about birthdays. Here's some samples from Doc's:

(That LJ feature of reminding you of friend's birthdays is pretty helpful sometimes.)

Happy birthday Gladys! :D Hope you're doing well!

Don't mind me, I'm just making a quick entry to determine what's going on with Dockie here. If you've participated with me in a thread or anything lately, feel free to check things out and make sure I haven't missed anything.

Not Much, But It's Something )

Er, does anyone know where I can find some new clothes? My old ones here are rather worn out, and haven't had a proper washing in a while.

((OOC: [livejournal.com profile] docsgirl: The only reason you're thinking of this is because I reminded you.

Oh hush!))
