clockwork_docDon't mind me, I'm just making a quick entry to determine what's going on with Dockie here. If you've participated with me in a thread or anything lately, feel free to check things out and make sure I haven't missed anything.
Threads Doc Has Participated In
88 Miles Per Hour? -- Intro thread. Ran into Grant Park through the Rift. Discovered by Revan Onasi. Discovered most of Fae Magic was gone and weather controlling powers. Revan explains things, takes Doc to Conrad Hotel. Doc gets Room 88 for in-joke purposes. Thread Completed
Necessity Is the Mother of Invention -- Doc's recently discovered his memories have returned. In common room remaking designs for flux capacitor. Discovered by Gladys. Two end up talking time travel (with a brief detour to the subject of Doc's past and Marty), what it would be like to see the beginning of time or the start of life on earth. Thread Completed
In the town where the black sun doesn't set, everyone is silent, working as if magical.... -- Enters Rift Room to examine and glare at said Rift. Discovers TARDIS. Is presented with tons of psychic machine code by distressed TARDIS. Offers to help. Is instead roped into conversation about his mechanical bits and her timamine identity. Talk time travel for a bit. Assuming interruption at end of conversation by one of the other threads. Thread Completed
So if you have a minute, why don't we go talk about it somewhere only we know -- Passing through Common Room on way to cafeteria. Encounters Revan again, detours to greet her. Asks about datapad. Learns Aurabesh and Huttese psychically. Talk a bit about Revan's Jedi past. Thread Completed
Doc Meets Aubrey -- Doc encounters Aubrey Ringland in the Rift Room, attempting to set up a Rift Sensor. Offers to help xem with project, uses Blessing of Perfection on xes's laptop. After some fiddling, they get the Rift Sensor to work. Cue hugging. Go to cafeteria, talk about pasts a bit, have food. Aubrey teaches Doc a bit about computers. Thread Completed
Nightmares and Dreamscapes -- Doc has a violent nightmare about his time in Arcadia, causing a localized hurricane to wreck his room. Three threads:
A) Gladys fights her way into the room and wakes Doc, comforting him after he finally snaps out of it. Room is revealed to be soaked and beaten up. Talk about room clean-up, Doc gets a fresh outfit of dry clothes. Thread Completed
B) Alanna comes to try and wake Doc up. Unsuccessful. Thread Aborted?
C) Zelgadis Graywords comes and pounds on the door, waking Doc up. Doc wakes up to wet room, Chimera outside his door. He and Zel talk about his nightmare, Arcadia, and what was done to them. Thread Assumed Completed
'cause the top of the world is where I'm from -- Doc meets Aubrey in lobby, where xe is talking with his Skid. Both are kinda down, commiserate and share sad stuff. Doc tells him about history, Arcadia. Conversation eventually switches to flux capacitor and possibly outfitting the Skid as a time machine. Thread Completed
I might join your century but only on a rare occasion... -- Doc bumps into the Doctor while the latter is looking for the TARDIS. Start talking about said TARDIS, Doc happy to find any version of her pilot. Thread In Progress
For SCIENCE! [Locked to Aubrey] -- Doc and Aubrey are in the parking garage. Aubrey introduces Doc to the Skid. Doc and Skid get friendly while Doc and Aubrey talk about fixing up the Skid and working on the time travel components. Much technobabble. Doc uses Blessing of Perfection on the Skid with permission. They work on the Skid for a while, then get cleaned up and go out for pizza and/or burgers. Fun is had by all. Well, two. Thread Completed
"We all have big changes in our lives that are more or less a second chance." -- Doc wanders into Rift Room on stress-relieving mission, is startled to find new Wanderer Farley Claymore. Takes on the role of tour guide. Startled to discover that Farley has psychic powers due to the Rift. Farley suffers a severe headache as all of his powers properly activate at once. Doc attempts to get Farley to the Med Room, but sees it's guarded by Romana's angels. Takes to Common Room instead. Leaves him there to await other, more knowledgeable people. Thread Completed
That's the sound that you're waiting for -- Doc encounters Donna in the common room. Intrigued by her expression (and her looks). Strikes up a conversation. Learns Donna (and the Doctor) are Time Lords. (meaning said information shouldn't come up in previous Doc/Doctor chat) Thread In Progress
There's always room for one less. . . -- Doc meets Marshall in the common room. Asks him about his tracer locket. Remembers they talked briefly over journals. Talk about about Marshall's experiments, past job as CIA spook. Thread In Progress
Can you save me from this world of mine... [Locked to Doc] -- Farley goes to Doc for information on the latest with Romana and her crazy. Doc delivers long-winded monologues of exposition. The tommy gun is revealed to be dismantled, happily. End on a friendly note. Thread Completed
Back <--- To the -- Lobby? -- Doc goes to the lobby, to get himself more used to being around normals on his own. Thread Considered Dead
A private man in a public circumstance -- Doc checks up on the Rift Detection Device, finds small silver pocketwatch. Takes it with him, not knowing it contains the essence of a version of the Doctor (the bodily, temporarily-human half fell through a different Rift). Has just opened it. Thread In Progress
Not appreciating the change in sceanery -- Doc encounters a 14-year-old girl wandering the hallways. Discovers she's from a Faerie and gets nervous. Luckily, it turns out she's Aubrey's friend Litta (aka Belle), so he's better now. Thread In Progress
People Doc Knows:
Revan Onasi -- got him through Rift, taught him Huttese and Aurabesh, friendly relationship
Gladys -- talked time travel with him, helped wake him up from a nightmare, semi-motherly/sisterly figure
Aubrey Ringland -- fellow inventor geek, invented with Doc, talked time travel and other stuff, getting to be a techy "Marty" figure
Zelgadis Graywords -- woke him up from the nightmare (take 2), empathizes on "being forcibly changed" issue, friendly aquaintance
TARDIS -- met in Rift Room while she was distressed, talked some time travel, open to making friends with
The Doctor -- bumped into accidentally, talked some time travel, would love to get to know better for research, friendship
Donna Noble -- met in Common Room, talking about Time Lords, attraction that may blossom into more
Farley Claymore -- met in Rift Room after Farley fell through, assisted him and acted as tour guide, feels a little responsible for him getting settled, friendly relationship possible
Belle Cullen -- met in hallway, Doc initally nervous of her Fae origins
April -- Journal Talk only, commented on first entry, unloaded a bit on Doc, Doc did same
Cole -- Journal Talk and handwaved meeting, responded to Doc's entry about Farley's arrival, later gave him a heads-up that he had aspirin for Farley
Rose, Gwen, and Maya -- Journal Talk only, one comment each. Rose responded to Doc's post on her ninja activity (Doc got a heart coin), Gwen told Doc where to get some fresh duds, Maya responded to Doc's entry about Farley's arrival and promised to see him.
