When he's not roleplaying in the Rift or the Nexus, the Doc Brown known as "Clockwork" lives in the Inkwell Bar and Grill, the local restaurant and hangout for his mun Victoria's muses. Clockwork also happens to own the place, so it's very easy for him to conscript it for his birthday. Anyone entering today will find that the bar has a wide selection of various cakes on it for people to sample, along with freezers full of ice cream. Clockwork himself is seated at the bar with a slice of chocolate cake, smiling at anyone who comes in.

Anybody's welcome to drop by, either just to say "hi" or to grab some cake. (One warning -- you might want to avoid the cake on the far left of the bar. Mrs. Plum made that one, and being a dead cook from "Corpse Bride" prone to putting body parts in her meals. . . .)

AL enters and scans the crowd. She sees some people she knows and some she doesn't. Most of who she knows are from V's neck of the universe, of course. Doesn't matter. PARTY!!!

She finds Clockwork and tackles him in a big hug. "BOO!" she says. "Happy birthday!!" She also turns towards the other Docs in the room and shouts, "Happy birthday to you guys, too!!" She intends to glomp them in turn.

Clockwork yelps, accidentally blowing up a wind as she tackles him. Luckily he quickly gets it under control, so there's almost no damage. "Thanks, but I wouldn't recommend doing that!" he says, laughing a little. It's his birthday, he can't really be mad.

The other Docs know what's coming and let AL glomp them. "Good thing we're sort of used to this from Victoria," Doc comments as AL hugs him.

Clockwork's spine stiffens. This is not good. He likes Victor -- they all do. He's kind of the mutual "little brother" of their gang. And he knows all too well a Fae's penchant for taking interesting people. "No," he says, voice cold. The temperature drops much more noticably this time. "He's just a kid."

Victor, for his part, is edging away a little, looking quite nervous. This is honestly his usual look, but still.

In what has to be the strangest entrance of all, AL's guys enter (Luke Skywalker, Tommy Oliver, Gary Hobson, Data, Erik, Adam Newman, Clark Kent, Jamie McCrimmon, Jesse Travis, Ryan Steele, Radu, Prince Dex, and the Fifth, Eighth, Ninth and Tenth Doctors). Not only have they dragged Erik along, but Hooks is riding on Luke's shoulder. A first. Clark is carrying a very large (and probably heavy) box.

They immediately head for the Docs and extend happy birthday greetings, though Clark goes to set the big box down on the bar.

"Hey, Doc," says Tommy. "The place looks great."

"I'll say," says Jesse. "Hey, show him the thing, Clark."

He nods. "AL requested this from Duff, naturally." He opens the box to reveal a cake shaped like the flux capacitor. "What do you think?"

Strange is as strange does around the Inkwell. Still, it has to be the biggest entrance yet. Clockwork welcomes them all, though he can't help but blink briefly at the Tenth Doctor. After all, they've got other versions of him over at the Rift and the Nexus. "You really are everywhere, aren't you?" he comments.

"Thanks, Tom," Clockwork says with a grin. "Er, you don't mind if I call you Tom, right? Just in case someone talks to OckDoc's tentacles." OckDoc's Tommy waves.

Clockwork grins approvingly at the cake. "That's great! Particularly auspicious since I finished my own model today. What flavor is it?"

Mab shivers. The cold reminds her of something she doesn't want to remember. "What a lovely child."

She moves over to Victor, wrapping her wings around herself as she does. "It's so very chilly in here," she says softly. "The seasons are changing. Would you be kind to an old lady, and keep me warm?"

The door opens again, and in wanders someone new, looking rather lost. He glances around the place, stunned by the activity surrounding him. "Holy shit," he mutters softly.

If anyone happened to notice, the new kid is actually yet another Marty. Not one of the regular Martys, though. This one is a smidge taller than the others, and -- well, he looks like some sort of ideal Marty McFly. Silky soft hair, clear blue eyes, perfect complexion and teeth. . . In fact, you could say he's the FAIREST of all Martys.

He raises his voice a little to be heard. "Excuse me! I -- I think I'm lost. Someone named Victoria told me to come this way. . . ."

Clockwork hears the comment and turns to help the newcomer -- another Marty? He thought they were all accounted for. "Hi, I'm the--"

He freezes. Standing there -- it can't be -- but --

Steam hisses from his body as he gawks, stunned. "Marty?" he whispers. Is it -- could it really be his Marty?

For a moment, Marty can only stare as well. No way. No way, he disappeared, I -- gotta be someone else--

Then the steam hisses from underneath the coat, and he knows it has to be. There's no one else who does that. Nobody Marty knows, anyway. "Doc?" he whispers back.

There is silence in the Inkwell for a moment. Even the other Docs and Martys are still, watching the scene in amazement.

Then Clockwork runs toward his friend and wraps him in the tightest hug he's ever given anyone. "MARTY!"

He's alive. He's alive and he's okay. His Marty's okay. Clockwork starts to cry a little from relief and joy. Fortunately, such tears don't trigger any rain. In fact, inside and all around the Inkwell?

The weather is now absolutely perfect.

Marty squeezes back just as tight, crying a little himself. "Doc! Jesus, I -- I thought you might be dead or something! Damn, I missed you so much. . . ."

HatterDoc is already preparing a celebratory tea while the rest of the Docs applaud. "Now this is a birthday present," RolePlayDoc comments.

"Same here," Clockwork says, finally getting a hold on his emotions. "I was so worried about you." He pulls back, looking Marty over. "Did you make it through the Hedge all right? Did you make it home?"

From: [identity profile] museicalmarty.livejournal.com
"Yeah," Marty nods, smiling. "Made it back to Hill Valley." The smile falters a little as he remembers what he found on his return. "But -- it's complicated, Doc. Gonna take a while to explain it all." He pauses, looks around at the group. "And, uh, I think your story's gonna take a while too."

Victor makes a "meep" noise, pulling at his tie as he usually does in these situations. Clockwork's eyes narrow in anger. But before either of them can say anything --

"Who the HELL invited you?"

Enter The Mun Herself, not looking too pleased to find a Fae among her muses. She storms over to Mab, eyes fiery. "Seriously, how'd you get in here?"

Clockwork gives him another squeeze. "We have all the time in the world, here. Come on and have some cake -- it's technically my birthday today." And right now, it's his best birthday ever.

Several minutes after Rift!Farley arrives, the doors open, and in comes a small entourage, led by a somewhat different version of Farley (wearing the suit he did in the movie), who's busy talking with Anya (http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/a/a6/Anya_Jenkins.jpg).

Following them are the original Farley (the one who came up with the Mudder's Milk idea, he wears a t-shirt with the phrase "I can kill you with my brain" and carries bags holding the ingredients), TotU!Farley (looking like he took a vacation in the Girl Genius-verse), and Alexander Claymore (who looks strikingly like Professor Plum), who's holding a conversation with the two Farleys.

Behind the other Farleys are the Clue couples: Prof. Plum and Ms. Scarlet and Wadsworth and Mrs. White. Tagging along is Margo, who doesn't seem too fazed by all the Farleys. (In fact, she seems almost amused by it all...)

Behind the Past People are two older men, the one bearing (http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k177/fuyuicons/oneflew/fuyu_icons_ofotcn02.png) a striking resemblance (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/photopost/showphoto.php/photo/58938/cat/740) to the man of the hour (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/photopost/showphoto.php/photo/58935/cat/740) and the other looking like an older (http://www.timcurry.at/Bilder/family13.jpg) (and slightly heavier) Farley (http://www.timcurry.at/Bilder/misc116.jpg), who are busy chatting with Veeken (a cheerful redheaded young woman). [livejournal.com profile] docsgirl, if you ever wanted to know what the dæmon-verse versions of Tim and Chris look like, well...

And finally, behind them, comes the mun herself, wearing a white hoodie with Pussyfoot (http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i100/cuddles_007/pussyfoot3.jpg) and the words "Obey Me - You'll Be Happier", and deep in conversation with yet another Farley. This one, interestingly enough, wears the same Coat of Badassery as Rift!Farley, except he wears the same suit that he had when he first Crossed.

Rift!Farley had glanced up when he noticed his dæmon counterpart enter, and now he notices the newest version of him. "Oh, go se", he mutters, then nudges Doc.

Mab draws herself up to her full height (which has been shrinking lately) and spreads out her wings. "I go where doors are open, and I take what's been left out for all. I came not with weapons or threats, but to deliver a token of courtesy. I did not threaten, nor did I demand that which was not offered. What have I now done to offend?"

. . . Gigs, I'm sorry, but your guys just lost the "strangest entrance yet" award.

Clockwork openly stares at the group wandering in, all chatting with each other. "Great Scott," he says. "I think your mun has as many Farleys as mine has Docs, at this point."

"You guys have great taste in T-shirts," TeenDoc pipes up, snorting at the "I can kill you with my brain" shirt.

Clockwork ignores him. "Hi everyone, welcome to the Inkwell!" he calls, waving at them. He has no idea how they'll keep them all straight, but he's sure something will present itself.

Farley nods contemplatively over a bite of his cake. "True, though the idea of having three other mes in the same room as several yous seems like it'll make things... interesting." He suddenly glances down, and notices the ring (http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj290/SlackerSpice/cap009.jpg) he'd gotten from the LOL vending machine (http://community.livejournal.com/dear_multiverse/4331304.html?thread=247126056#t247126056). Odd, it hadn't been there in the Rift...

"Huh. I'd forgotten about this..." He shows it to Doc. "Vending machine in the Nexus", he explains. "Some sort of magical gender-changing ring."

In a rare sight, AL blushes, her wings taking on a pink hue. "Sorry," she says. "I didn't realize."

She had to go around and give V's other Docs huge hugs, too. It was their birthday after all. It's not every day you turn 88. Or 66. Or whatever. Damn, time travel can give one a headache... She shakes it off and responds to Doc, grinning. "That's what my guys say about me." She giggles and looks around at the scads of people. "Nice turnout, Doc. Though really the only people I recognize are your lot and my lot."

Ten has to grin. "So it seems. Alternate universes, realities, dimensions. What is it Lisa always says?"

" 'A cosmos without the Doctor scarcely bears thinking about'," says Tommy. He shakes his head at Clockwork and waves to the tentacle. "Nah, I don't mind. Might mean for less confusion at any rate."

"I think Lisa told Duff to make it chocolate. I'm sure you've heard the general consensus about your eyes," says Jesse.

The other guys have dispersed though they're keeping an eye on Erik and Radu. With this many people around, it's easy for either of them to feel uncomfortable. Hooks is quite content to ride on Luke's shoulder and he steers the Jedi off to grab some cake.

"What's not to like?" Daimon shrugs and grins, settling against the bar.

"Nah, don't worry about it. I was on an ordering spree anyway." Inside is a laptop computer with a brushed brass case. "It will conceal itself as a typewriter in lower tech worlds. Being neighbor to a witch is sometimes useful. Turns out she's from the 1920s originally."

Daimon tilts his head, looking over at him. "D'aww." Cute little Victorian gothboy. Bet I'd scare him into a fainting fit if I smiled at him. "I really should introduce him to Danica, she'd get along with his friends real well. Necromancer and all. One of her pets is a clockwork mouse skeleton she made."

Clockwork chuckles. "Interesting is probably putting it mildly."

Clockwork frowns at the ring. "Oh, you saw that too? I got a rope from it. Climbs up walls on its own. I'm currently using it for a tire swing." He points outside, where there is indeed a tire tied to a nearby tree. "Yours doesn't seem to be doing much gender-changing, however."

Clockwork grins back. "They are good movies. I got a chance to watch them. Rather odd to see another version of yourself on a screen."

"As opposed to real life?" VampDoc2 asks with a smirk. Clockwork just rolls his eyes.

Ooooh, computer! Clockwork is always happy to see more of these. Poor guy often feels left behind because of his 1965 origins. Hell, TEENDOC knows more, and his primary universe is steampunk! "Thanks! Looks great!" He happily fiddles around with it a bit. "Tell her thanks too. Amazing. . . ."

Victor's a little hardier than he looks, so he probably wouldn't faint. Pull on his tie a lot and possibly fall over. . . He sees Daimon looking and gives him a friendly grin.

"So long as she likes singing and dancing skeletons," Clockwork says, thinking of Bonejangles. "Honestly, they're all nice people. Even if they're dead. And, well, given the living members of Victor's world that we've met. . . ." He shrugs. He looks faintly -- weirded out by the mention of the mouse. Sorry, Daimon, but as the steam proves, "clockwork skeletons" make him think of less-nice things. Not that he thinks Danica is like that -- more an automatic reaction.
