OOC/MuseVerse: Inkwell Party!
Oct. 22nd, 2008 09:17 amWhen he's not roleplaying in the Rift or the Nexus, the Doc Brown known as "Clockwork" lives in the Inkwell Bar and Grill, the local restaurant and hangout for his mun Victoria's muses. Clockwork also happens to own the place, so it's very easy for him to conscript it for his birthday. Anyone entering today will find that the bar has a wide selection of various cakes on it for people to sample, along with freezers full of ice cream. Clockwork himself is seated at the bar with a slice of chocolate cake, smiling at anyone who comes in.
Anybody's welcome to drop by, either just to say "hi" or to grab some cake. (One warning -- you might want to avoid the cake on the far left of the bar. Mrs. Plum made that one, and being a dead cook from "Corpse Bride" prone to putting body parts in her meals. . . .)

Date: 2008-10-23 02:08 am (UTC)She finds Clockwork and tackles him in a big hug. "BOO!" she says. "Happy birthday!!" She also turns towards the other Docs in the room and shouts, "Happy birthday to you guys, too!!" She intends to glomp them in turn.

Date: 2008-10-23 02:12 am (UTC)The other Docs know what's coming and let AL glomp them. "Good thing we're sort of used to this from Victoria," Doc comments as AL hugs him.

Date: 2008-10-23 02:14 am (UTC)Victor, for his part, is edging away a little, looking quite nervous. This is honestly his usual look, but still.

Date: 2008-10-23 02:17 am (UTC)They immediately head for the Docs and extend happy birthday greetings, though Clark goes to set the big box down on the bar.
"Hey, Doc," says Tommy. "The place looks great."
"I'll say," says Jesse. "Hey, show him the thing, Clark."
He nods. "AL requested this from Duff, naturally." He opens the box to reveal a cake shaped like the flux capacitor. "What do you think?"

Date: 2008-10-23 02:21 am (UTC)"Thanks, Tom," Clockwork says with a grin. "Er, you don't mind if I call you Tom, right? Just in case someone talks to OckDoc's tentacles." OckDoc's Tommy waves.
Clockwork grins approvingly at the cake. "That's great! Particularly auspicious since I finished my own model today. What flavor is it?"

Date: 2008-10-23 02:22 am (UTC)She moves over to Victor, wrapping her wings around herself as she does. "It's so very chilly in here," she says softly. "The seasons are changing. Would you be kind to an old lady, and keep me warm?"

Date: 2008-10-23 02:27 am (UTC)If anyone happened to notice, the new kid is actually yet another Marty. Not one of the regular Martys, though. This one is a smidge taller than the others, and -- well, he looks like some sort of ideal Marty McFly. Silky soft hair, clear blue eyes, perfect complexion and teeth. . . In fact, you could say he's the FAIREST of all Martys.
He raises his voice a little to be heard. "Excuse me! I -- I think I'm lost. Someone named Victoria told me to come this way. . . ."
no subject
Date: 2008-10-23 02:34 am (UTC)He freezes. Standing there -- it can't be -- but --
Steam hisses from his body as he gawks, stunned. "Marty?" he whispers. Is it -- could it really be his Marty?
no subject
Date: 2008-10-23 02:35 am (UTC)Then the steam hisses from underneath the coat, and he knows it has to be. There's no one else who does that. Nobody Marty knows, anyway. "Doc?" he whispers back.

Date: 2008-10-23 02:38 am (UTC)Then Clockwork runs toward his friend and wraps him in the tightest hug he's ever given anyone. "MARTY!"
He's alive. He's alive and he's okay. His Marty's okay. Clockwork starts to cry a little from relief and joy. Fortunately, such tears don't trigger any rain. In fact, inside and all around the Inkwell?
The weather is now absolutely perfect.

Date: 2008-10-23 02:41 am (UTC)HatterDoc is already preparing a celebratory tea while the rest of the Docs applaud. "Now this is a birthday present," RolePlayDoc comments.

Date: 2008-10-23 02:55 am (UTC)"Who the HELL invited you?"
Enter The Mun Herself, not looking too pleased to find a Fae among her muses. She storms over to Mab, eyes fiery. "Seriously, how'd you get in here?"

Date: 2008-10-23 03:02 am (UTC)Following them are the original Farley (the one who came up with the Mudder's Milk idea, he wears a t-shirt with the phrase "I can kill you with my brain" and carries bags holding the ingredients), TotU!Farley (looking like he took a vacation in the Girl Genius-verse), and Alexander Claymore (who looks strikingly like Professor Plum), who's holding a conversation with the two Farleys.
Behind the other Farleys are the Clue couples: Prof. Plum and Ms. Scarlet and Wadsworth and Mrs. White. Tagging along is Margo, who doesn't seem too fazed by all the Farleys. (In fact, she seems almost amused by it all...)
Behind the Past People are two older men, the one bearing (http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k177/fuyuicons/oneflew/fuyu_icons_ofotcn02.png) a striking resemblance (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/photopost/showphoto.php/photo/58938/cat/740) to the man of the hour (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/photopost/showphoto.php/photo/58935/cat/740) and the other looking like an older (http://www.timcurry.at/Bilder/family13.jpg) (and slightly heavier) Farley (http://www.timcurry.at/Bilder/misc116.jpg), who are busy chatting with Veeken (a cheerful redheaded young woman).
And finally, behind them, comes the mun herself, wearing a white hoodie with Pussyfoot (http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i100/cuddles_007/pussyfoot3.jpg) and the words "Obey Me - You'll Be Happier", and deep in conversation with yet another Farley. This one, interestingly enough, wears the same Coat of Badassery as Rift!Farley, except he wears the same suit that he had when he first Crossed.
Rift!Farley had glanced up when he noticed his dæmon counterpart enter, and now he notices the newest version of him. "Oh, go se", he mutters, then nudges Doc.

Date: 2008-10-23 03:09 am (UTC)Clockwork openly stares at the group wandering in, all chatting with each other. "Great Scott," he says. "I think your mun has as many Farleys as mine has Docs, at this point."
"You guys have great taste in T-shirts," TeenDoc pipes up, snorting at the "I can kill you with my brain" shirt.
Clockwork ignores him. "Hi everyone, welcome to the Inkwell!" he calls, waving at them. He has no idea how they'll keep them all straight, but he's sure something will present itself.

Date: 2008-10-23 03:18 am (UTC)"Huh. I'd forgotten about this..." He shows it to Doc. "Vending machine in the Nexus", he explains. "Some sort of magical gender-changing ring."

Date: 2008-10-23 03:25 am (UTC)She had to go around and give V's other Docs huge hugs, too. It was their birthday after all. It's not every day you turn 88. Or 66. Or whatever. Damn, time travel can give one a headache... She shakes it off and responds to Doc, grinning. "That's what my guys say about me." She giggles and looks around at the scads of people. "Nice turnout, Doc. Though really the only people I recognize are your lot and my lot."

Date: 2008-10-23 03:32 am (UTC)" 'A cosmos without the Doctor scarcely bears thinking about'," says Tommy. He shakes his head at Clockwork and waves to the tentacle. "Nah, I don't mind. Might mean for less confusion at any rate."
"I think Lisa told Duff to make it chocolate. I'm sure you've heard the general consensus about your eyes," says Jesse.
The other guys have dispersed though they're keeping an eye on Erik and Radu. With this many people around, it's easy for either of them to feel uncomfortable. Hooks is quite content to ride on Luke's shoulder and he steers the Jedi off to grab some cake.

Date: 2008-10-23 05:41 pm (UTC)"Nah, don't worry about it. I was on an ordering spree anyway." Inside is a laptop computer with a brushed brass case. "It will conceal itself as a typewriter in lower tech worlds. Being neighbor to a witch is sometimes useful. Turns out she's from the 1920s originally."
Daimon tilts his head, looking over at him. "D'aww." Cute little Victorian gothboy. Bet I'd scare him into a fainting fit if I smiled at him. "I really should introduce him to Danica, she'd get along with his friends real well. Necromancer and all. One of her pets is a clockwork mouse skeleton she made."

Date: 2008-10-23 09:20 pm (UTC)Clockwork frowns at the ring. "Oh, you saw that too? I got a rope from it. Climbs up walls on its own. I'm currently using it for a tire swing." He points outside, where there is indeed a tire tied to a nearby tree. "Yours doesn't seem to be doing much gender-changing, however."

Date: 2008-10-23 09:29 pm (UTC)"As opposed to real life?" VampDoc2 asks with a smirk. Clockwork just rolls his eyes.
Ooooh, computer! Clockwork is always happy to see more of these. Poor guy often feels left behind because of his 1965 origins. Hell, TEENDOC knows more, and his primary universe is steampunk! "Thanks! Looks great!" He happily fiddles around with it a bit. "Tell her thanks too. Amazing. . . ."
Victor's a little hardier than he looks, so he probably wouldn't faint. Pull on his tie a lot and possibly fall over. . . He sees Daimon looking and gives him a friendly grin.
"So long as she likes singing and dancing skeletons," Clockwork says, thinking of Bonejangles. "Honestly, they're all nice people. Even if they're dead. And, well, given the living members of Victor's world that we've met. . . ." He shrugs. He looks faintly -- weirded out by the mention of the mouse. Sorry, Daimon, but as the steam proves, "clockwork skeletons" make him think of less-nice things. Not that he thinks Danica is like that -- more an automatic reaction.
