[Locked to Conrad Basement Residents]

Well, I've had a couple of rather scintillating conversations lately, and now I'm full of ideas and questions. I'll try my best to get them out in an orderly format:

1. I'm working on some designs for a time travel device called the "flux capacitor" -- does anyone know where I can find a hardware store around here?

2. I'm looking on some information on translator technology for trips into the past/future, once I complete my time machine. Revan, you seem to be the most likely to know something about that in my (admittedly limited) experience. Has anyone checked to see if the Rift can change languages or bestow translator capabilities? It was an idea I and a woman named Gladys were discussing earlier.

3. I'm curious to meet a fellow called "the Doctor" -- I encountered a fascinating entity called TARDIS in the Rift Room. She (felt like a she, anyway -- I don't think it really has a fixed sex like we do) mentioned wanting to see someone named that. Actually, I'm willing to talk to anyone who knows anything about TARDIS and the Time Vortex she mentioned. I think it would really help me with my own time travel research. (I must say, she's rather sweet -- I enjoyed sharing concepts with her.)

This system of linking journals is actually very useful. I almost wish we had something like it back home.
Hope everyone had a good day!

Hmm. We had some automatic translator devices back home, but they were hard to make. I think I know how to build one, but it would take some time.

I could help you learn some new languages using my Force abilities, but I get the feeling that's not what you're looking for.

Well, I may have time -- who knows how long I'm going to be here.

Not exactly, but I'm still intrigued. I imagine you would know some rather unique languages.

I do, in fact. Several of them are dead. Almost all of them are from my home galaxy.

Wow. I'm impressed. I only know English and German myself, with a smattering of French.

Dr. Rainer speaks German. You should talk to her at some point. =P

Hmm, I should teach you Huttese next time I get the chance. Make sure I've still got the ability to transfer languages to other people. Haven't tried it in a while. I've tried teaching myself (had to in order to write in the Roman alphabet, we don't use it in my home galaxy).

...Come to think of it, I should also teach you Aurabesh. That's our alphabet.

If I can find her. This place is surprisingly big for a basement. I suppose there's a supernatural explanation for that too.

I see. I'm willing to try it as an experiment. Though any particular reason for this "Huttese?"

Huttese is one of the most commonly spoken languages in my home galaxy, second only to Basic (which is the same as English). One of the first languages I learned, too.

That's me. The Doctor, I mean. But I'm probably not the Doctor she's looking for - parallel universes and so on, and the Doctor she's looking for was probably on the other side of the Rift, especially considering you found her in the Rift room.

I'm bit... preoccupied right now, but I'll find you when I have a moment. We can talk.

Hello, nice to meet you.

Yes, she told hers wasn't here, so to speak (complicated language she's got), but I figured it was worth a try to see if any version was here.

I'll be around once you have the time. Tall guy, white hair, gears sticking out of various joints.
